Business Development Manager - Job Description

To facilitate our growth the Business Development Manager plays a crucial role. We are currently looking for an experienced professional able to communicate with our existing and potential key customers.

Furthermore, in this role you will be responsible for driving sales growth by developing strategies and initiatives to increase our market presence.

Objectives of this role

  • Expand the customer base by identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.

  • Foster strong relationships with existing clients to drive customer loyalty and repeat business.

  • Provide leadership and guidance to the sales team, ensuring their individual and collective success.

  • Continuously monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to stay ahead of the competition.

  • Optimize sales processes and identify areas for improvement to drive operational efficiency.

  • Provide accurate sales forecasts and reports to the senior management team.


Responsibilities 

  • Conduct market research to identify potential customers, industries, and trends.

  • Generate leads across various channels such as networking, cold calling, and leveraging online platforms.

  • Develop and implement sales strategies and tactics to increase revenue and market share.

  • Engage in negotiations with potential clients and successfully close deals that align with the company's objectives.

  • Collaborate with the marketing department to develop sales and promotional materials that align with company objectives

  • Identify opportunities for expanding the company's market presence and explore new business opportunities.

  • Gather and analyze customers feedback to enhance products or services and improve overall customer satisfaction.

  • Lead and motivate the sales team, providing guidance and support to help them achieve their sales targets.

  • Provide accurate sales forecasts and reports to the senior management team.

Job requirements

Required skills and qualifications

  • Analytical and data-driven approach, with the ability to leverage sales data and metrics to make informed business decisions.

  • Familiarity with digital tools and technologies such as CRM software, email automation and other sales technologies.

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain long-term client relationships.

  • Previous experience in a leadership or managerial role, with a track record of effectively managing and motivating a team.

  • Strong understanding of sales principles, techniques, and methodologies, with the ability to apply them effectively in a B2B environment.

  • Self-motivated and goal-oriented, with a passion for achieving and exceeding targets.

  • Fluency in English is a mandatory requirement for effective communication with clients and internal stakeholders.


Preferred skills and qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field

  • Proficiency in an additional language (e.g., Spanish, French, German, etc.) is highly desirable and considered a plus.
